finally..

and i survived exercise bear..

i couldnt have dreamt abt 7dec2007 ever arriving but finally, aft so long it's here!! the bookout aft a whole stretch of exercises.. i really duno how i ever survived.. wat with the inexperienced ex cub, with the horrors of deployment and seeing the true colours of the platoon and their whole grumpiness and uncooperativeness, not forgetting the repeated horrors of shellscrape digging in ex gemini and the whole long stretch of waiting for break camp, and then running the 10km just before ex bear and thew hole long days and long nights gone thru in ex bear, with the packing up of concertina wire [which we didnt even use -.-]..

ok enough of the ramblings.. am just relieved that ex bear is over - signifies that the whole crazy stretch of 3 wks of consecutive exercises is over, finally.. *phew* hmm, learnt much more abt my section and the whole platoon as well, realised many things i nv knew, understood certain ppl better, and of coz seen the dark and ugly sides of many..

there was definitely a significant progressive improvement in the stretch of exercises and ohwells, the end of it all just marks the opening of a new chapter - operationally ready life.. nope, not the ORD kind of operationally ready but the ready to take on the operational role in the battalion, in 3 div..

with that, i've got one more week to block leave!! and then youth camp on 17th to 21st, COS duty on 18th, christmas celebration on 22nd, COS duty on christmas, integrated audit on 28th, solomon knights outing to east coast on 28th and subsequently till 29th.. guess i'll be real late then...

and it's time to start reading Revelations! in preparation for nxt yr's lessons as well as part of my class' aim to finish the new testament in less than a yr.. gotta keep to plan then..
