love in actions..

Human beings need love. Be it small or big acts/words/expressions of love. It's something so fundamental to our instincts and needs that we crave for it.

But a lot of times, we don't have to wait for someone to tell us that he/she loves us before we know that's the case. It's in their thoughts, their actions and their way of doing things.

You don't need your dad to give you a pat on the shoulder and say you're their beloved son to know that he loves you enough to slog his guts out for the family.
You don't need your mum to give you a hug and say she loves you before you'd realise she loves you enough to wash the clothes, sweep the floor, worry about your meals and comfort.
You don't need your bf/gf to kiss you and say he/she loves you before you know that he/she loves you enough to bear with your unreasonable whines and moments of weakness.
You don't need your friend to write 'I love you' in his/her card to you to know that he/she loves you enough to even just bother about writing.

And indeed, many times it's not through speech or words that we can deeply feel the love from the other party, but the way he/she reacts to you.
It may be his/her willingness to accommodate you or to do things that are not typically him/her, his/her willingness to change certain ways of doing things or particular manner of speech, his/her thoughts about you to drop you an sms no matter how simple, or it may simply be the way he/she is when he/she's around you.

As for me, I need to learn how to appreciate people more when I recognise their love for me.
