If HIV..

If one day you got into an accident, lost a lot of blood and required a blood transfusion, but because of your blood type or something, the blood bank doesn't have enough supply for you; all it has is this pack of blood which just came in a couple of days ago which clinical tests results are not yet out, and the doctor in a bid to save your life, decides to take the risk and give you this pack of blood, only to find out a week later that this blood was HIV-infected, what would you do?

What can you do?

Will you grumble and moan and give up on your own life? Or will you live a day by a day, anticipating the day when your body just breaks down? Or will you still continue as per normal, making plans and living your life as best as you can?

And when you realise that your friends no longer dare to stick around you as much or as closely, when your loved ones have to separate out your food and can no longer share with you, when even your closest significant other doesn't hug you as often, kiss you as often, or simply just holding and cradling you as often, how then will you feel?

The world pretty much crashes down on you isn't it?

Then now let's switch the roles a little. What if it wasn't you who got into that fateful accident. It was your significant other. Would you hug your beloved as often, kiss your beloved as often, or simply just hold and cradle as often? Would you lead your life as though you are ushering your beloved towards the face of death? Or would you be more depressed than your beloved? Or would you be making plans already to find another significant other?

Mann, I know it's pretty pointless talking about hypothetical situations. Yet, it's such thinking that makes me who I am eh? Ohwells, but entertaining these what-ifs and possible-happenings sure do get me contemplative and pensive. Emo? Nah, not really sure either.

Maybe I'm too free and have nothing better to do. That's me for you. So sue me.
